Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) strongest playing XI for IPL 2025

The Pat Cummins-led SRH were the runners-up of IPL 2024.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be looking to continue their amazing form of last season into the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. After a successful run in IPL 2024, where they finished as the runners-up, SRH rebuilt their squad at the IPL 2025 mega auction after retaining five key players.
With the core already in place, the SRH management focused on fine-tuning the rest of the first-choice playing XI. The franchise acquired Ishan Kishan as their major signing at the auction. The dynamic southpaw will partner left-handers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma at the top order.
It will be interesting to see if Hyderabad will continue with Klassen or if Kishan will take the wicket-keeping duties for the franchise. If SRH’s batting was not fearsome enough last season, the inclusion of Kishan in their middle order could take it to a level higher.
Furthermore, Abhinav Manohar and Atharva Taide will strengthen their lower middle order. Atharva Taide has previously represented the Punjab Kings and boasts an impressive record in IPL: 247 runs in nine games at a strike rate of 147.
Hyderabad have strengthened their bowling department, adding Indian names like Harshal Patel and Mohammed Shami to their fast bowling cartel that already included Pat Cummins. Shami can aid SRH’s new ball attack with captain Cummins while Harshal Patel can take care of bowling in the death overs.
Having retained five core players before the auction – Pat Cummins, Heinrich Klassen, Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Nitish Kumar Reddy – the franchise addressed their weakness in the spin bowling department. Leg spinners Adam Zampa and Rahul Chahar have been roped in to take care of the middle overs.
SRH strongest XI for IPL 2025:
Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Ishan Kishan (wk), Nitish Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Atharva Taide, Abhinav Manohar, Pat Cummins (c), Harshal Patel, Mohammed Shami, Rahul Chahar | Adam Zampa (Impact Player)
