The second match of IPL 2025, SRH vs RR, will be played in Hyderabad.
The second match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, on Sunday, March 23. This will be the first afternoon game of the ongoing IPL 2025.
SRH were by far the most entertaining team in the IPL last year. The franchise even set the record for the highest-ever total, registering 287/3 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. They have added even more firepower to their lineup with the addition of wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan.
RR, on the other hand, reached the playoffs last year but were eliminated by SRH in Qualifier 2. The franchise retained their core before the mega auction, including key players like Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Notably, Parag has been appointed as RR captain for the first three games due to Samson’s finger injury. Samson will play as a specialist batsman, with Dhruv Jurel taking up the role of wicket-keeper.
