If given a chance, Sunil Gavaskar expresses his desire to play for these two teams in the IPL.

MS Dhoni, one of the biggest brands in Indian Cricket, has a rich history of winning tournaments - be it at the international front or at the IPL level. Inarguably, the most successful captain India ever had, Dhoni is also one of the most successful captains in the history of IPL. There is no surprise that MS Dhoni has lured the greats of the game to play with him with his demeanor.

On completion of 15 years of IPL, batting legend Sunil Gavaskar was asked which IPL team he would’ve loved to be a part of. Being a Mumbaikar, he expectedly picked Mumbai Indians and his second choice also didn't come across as a surprise.

Gavaskar said on Star Sports he would’ve liked to play for CSK citing a couple of reasons that include getting a chance to share the dressing room with Dhoni and observe him closely how he conducts team meetings.

“Mumbai Indians, who else? If not, then I would like to play for Chennai Super Kings. Chennai Super Kings for two reasons, firstly, the Chennai owners are passionate about cricket, they have done so much for the sport. Srinivasan sir has done a lot for cricket," Gavaskar said.

“And the second big reason would be to sit in the dressing room with MS Dhoni and see how he captains the team. Is he as calm and composed in the dressing room as he is on the field? Does he lose his cool when someone has dropped a catch or somebody didn’t back up a fielder? That’s what I would like to know," he added.

Also, when he was asked to pick players from his team he would have liked to see in the IPL, Gavaskar named Sandeep Patil, Kapil Dev, and BS Chandrashekhar.

“Look, a batsman I would like to see would be Sandeep Patil, there is only one allrounder who I would choose - Kapil Dev, for the bowler. I would like to see BS Chandrashekhar play in the T20 format because his bowling action was not suited only for Test cricket but One-day cricket and T20 cricket would also be easy for him," Gavaskar said.

The Orange Army awaits a tough battle at CSK's fortress

With three wins and two losses in the five games they have played thus far, the CSK camp is up and roaring for their next battle at home against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Winning in a thriller against RCB in their last outing, CSK will hope to dictate terms at home in their next game.

While on the other hand, SRH have managed to win only two matches and lose three matches. They will be keen to drive back to the winning ways after suffering a defeat in their last game against Mumbai Indians (MI). Although the numbers against CSK aren't too cheerful for the Orange Army, they will hope for a turnaround in things for themselves.
