Suryakumar Yadav retains No.1 spot in ICC T20I batsmen rankings

Despite poor performances across all forms of cricket recently, Suryakumar Yadav has managed to maintain his top spot as T20I batsman.

India’s biggest superstar of the year 2022, Suryakumar Yadav has kept his domination in the shortest form of the game. Suryakumar Yadav is still standing at the Pole position in ICC T20I ranking for the batsmen. ICC released the updated rankings on Wednesday. Surya had a tremendous previous year with the Indian Cricket Team. Suryakumar Yadav is in the Number one position with 906 rating points. SKY was in magnificent form for India, he scored 4 fifty plus scores with 2 centuries and 2 half centuries in his last 10 T20 International innings.

Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam's domination continues

Pakistan’s wicketkeeper batsman and opener Mohammad Rizwan is ranked number two in the ICC T20I rankings for the batsmen. Rizwan is number 2 with 811 rating points. Pakistan captain Babar Azam is at number three with 755 rating points. Both these players played crucial knocks for Pakistan in the T20 World Cup last year. South Africa’s newly appointed Captain Aiden Markram is in fourth position with 748 points, and Kiwi opener Devon Conway is fifth in the ranking with 745 rating points. No other Indian batter is in the top 10 list.

Right hand batsman Suryakumar is having a poor run for the last few months. In the last 10 innings, he has crossed the single digit mark only once. He was out on golden duck four times in those 8 innings. Fans are hopeful he will bounce back with his best game in the upcoming games for Mumbai Indians in the IPL.  

No Indian bowler is in the Top 10 ranking of Bowlers in T20I cricket. Two Afghanistan bowlers, Rashid Khan, and Fazalhaq Farooqi are the top two bowlers in the ICC T20I rankings for the bowlers. Shakib Al Hasan is the number one all rounder in the T20I rankings. Hardik Pandya is second on the list.
