The T20 World Cup 2026 is the next ICC tournament that will entertain cricket fans around the world this year. A total of 20 teams will clash for the title in this tournament. India and Sri Lanka will co-host the event.
T20 World Cup 2026 will kick off on February 7 with the opening game between Pakistan and the Netherlands in Colombo. The Men in Green will play all of their games in Sri Lanka.
The final will be played on March 8, with the tournament witnessing 55 games in the lead-up to the summit clash. The tournament will follow the format like the previous edition, with 20 teams divided into four groups of five teams each (A, B, C, D). In the group stage, each team will square off with the other teams of their pool once.
The top two teams from each group will move to the Super 8 round, where they will be further categorised into two groups of four teams. After that, the four best performers will qualify for the semi-finals, the winners of which will lock horns in the final.
