The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the team of the tournament for ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. Surprisingly, Indian Women’s Cricket Team captain Harmanpreet Kaur was overlooked by the ICC in the team.

Kaur led India Women to the title in ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, becoming the first Indian women’s captain to clinch an ICC title for the Women in Blue. Under her leadership, India Women defeated South Africa Women in the final by 52 runs to script their name in the record books.

However, ICC went ahead with Laura Wolvaardt as the captain of their team. The South Africa Women captain clinched the record for most runs in a single edition of the Women’s World Cup, smacking 571 runs in nine games with two centuries and three fifties. Marizanne Kapp and Nadine de Klerk were the other two South African players who featured in the ICC’s team.
