List of teams qualified for Super 8 Round of T20 World Cup 2026 so far

Four teams have qualified for the Super 8 Round of the T20 World Cup 2026 so far.

A total of 20 teams are battling for the title in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. They are divided into five teams of four groups each, namely- A, B, C, and D. After the league stage, two teams from each group will qualify for the Super 8 Round, while the other three will be eliminated from the tournament.

The T20 World Cup 2026 has seen some close and thrilling matches so far; England vs Nepal and South Africa vs Afghanistan are examples. Zimbabwe’s victory over mighty Australia can be termed as the biggest upset of the campaign so far.

A battle for the Super 8 Round is intense, and all the teams will leave no stone unturned to move further into the next stage. On that note, below are the teams that have qualified for the Super 8 Round of the T20 World Cup 2026.

1. South Africa

South Africa are placed in Group D in the 20-team tournament. They have won three matches in a row, outplaying Canada, Afghanistan, and New Zealand.

With six points, the Aiden Markram & Co. have qualified for the Super 8 round. They secured their place in the next round after winning their third game against New Zealand by seven wickets on February 14 and were the first team to qualify for Super 8.

2. West Indies

The West Indies are placed in Group C in the tournament. They grabbed back-to-back wins in their first three games, crushing Scotland, England, and Nepal.

With six points, the Shai Hope-led side became the first team to qualify for the Super 8 from their group. They qualified for Super 8 on February 15 after defeating Nepal by nine wickets.

3. India

India are placed in Group A in the T20 World Cup 2026. The Suryakumar Yadav & Co. have won three games in a row and are the first team to qualify for Super 8 from their pool. The Men-in-Blue defeated the USA, Namibia, and Pakistan in their first three games.

They have six points with them and take the top spot in the points table. They have one more match left against the Netherlands. They qualified for the Super 8 after defeating Pakistan in their third game on February 15 at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

4. England

England are placed in Group C in the tournament. After the West Indies, they became the second team from the group to qualify for the Super 8. England have won three of their four matches; they lost one match against the West Indies. With six points, they are placed second in the points table.

5. Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka became the fifth team to book a berth in the Super 8 round following their victory against Australia on February 16 at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele. They won three games in a row after crushing Oman and Ireland in the previous two encounters.
