Tim David took a brilliant catch to remove Suryakumar Yadav.
Xavier Bartlett dismissed Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav courtesy of a spectacular two-finger catch by Tim David at the square-leg boundary in one of the most exciting moments of the fourth T20I between Australia and India.
With the series tied 1-1, Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss in the fourth T20I that is being played at Carrara Oval, Gold Coast, on November 6, 2025. Australia made four changes to their side, while India remained unchanged.
Abhishek Sharma struggled, scoring 28 in 21 balls on a sluggish, two-paced pitch. The same was the story with Shubman Gill, who faced 39 deliveries for his 46 runs, hitting four fours and one six. Shivam Dube, sent in at three, managed 22 runs with one four and one six.
India captain Suryakumar Yadav hammered 20 runs in 10 balls, hitting two sixes. However, his wicket led to a collapse in the Indian batting order, as Tilak Varma (5) and Jitesh Sharma (3) fell in quick succession.
Tim David pretends to lick the ball after taking Suryakumar Yadav’s catch
Suryakumar Yadav was looking very good, as he had smacked Adam Zampa for two sixes. In the next over, Xavier Bartlett got the ball to stick into the pitch and achieve some bounce. Suryakumar Yadav managed to play his usual flick shot, but got a lot more air than distance on the shot.
The ball went high in the air, and David moved from deep backward square leg and took the catch in between his two fingers. After taking the catch, David bizarrely pretended to lick the ball as well in celebration.
