T20Is is the most popular format of the game among the fans because everyone wants to see more sixes and boundaries. But it takes a lot from a cricketer to perform in a twenty-over game. This format of the game has become more normal now than it was a decade ago.
That’s why there are only a limited number of players who have played more than 100 games in T20I cricket. There is only one cricketer who has played 150 matches in the shortest format of the game. In this article, we will talk about the list of players who have played the most matches in T20I cricket.

10. Virat Kohli – India :

Indian batter Virat Kohli is only the second player after Ross Taylor to play more than 100 matches in all three formats of the game. In T20Is, Virat has scored the most runs. In 116 matches, he has scored 4008 runs at an incredible average of 52.73 with one hundred and 37 half-centuries so far. He has played the second-most T20Is for India.
9. Shakib Al Hasan – Bangladesh :

Shakib Al Hasan is the biggest name in Bangladesh and he has been a true asset to the game for his nation. He has also represented his country in more than 100 T20Is. Shakib has played 117 matches, scored 2382 runs with 13 half-centuries and also taken 140 wickets with a best of 5/20 so far.
8. Mohammad Hafeez – Pakistan :

Former Pakistani captain Mohammad Hafeez was one of the main reasons for Pakistan’s success in the early days of the shortest format of the game. He represented Pakistan in a total of 119 T20Is in his career. Hafeez scored 2514 runs with a best of 99 not out and scored 14 half-centuries. He also took 61 wickets with the ball.
7. Tim Southee – New Zealand :

Veteran Kiwi pacer Tom Southee is the only bowler in cricket history to take 150 or more wickets in all three formats of the game. He has played the second-most T20Is for New Zealand. Southee has featured in a total of 119 matches and taken 153 wickets at an economy rate of 8.12 and a best of 5/12 so far.
6. Mahmudullah – Bangladesh :

Former Bangladesh captain and veteran all-rounder Mahmudullah has played most T20Is for his country. He has been a regular face in the team when it comes to the shortest format of the game. Mahmudullah has played 121 matches so far and scored 2122 runs with six half-centuries. He has also picked up 38 wickets with the ball so far.
5. Martin Guptill – New Zealand :

Martin Guptill has played the most T20Is for New Zealand. He has also scored the most runs and held a number of batting records in the shortest format of the game for his country. Though he doesn’t play now he has played 122 matches so far. Guptill has scored 3531 runs at an average and strike rate of 31.81 and 135.70, respectively. He has also scored two hundred and 20 half-centuries.
4. Shoaib Malik – Pakistan :

Veteran Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik, who captained Pakistan in the inaugural T20 World Cup in South Africa in 2007 and has played the most number of T20Is for his country. He has played a total of 124 T20I matches and scored 2435 runs at 31.21 with nine half-centuries and also taken 28 wickets.
3. George Dockrell – Ireland :

Ireland have been a pretty active team in the white-ball cricket and have mostly played T20Is. George Dockrell is one of their main players in white-ball cricket. He is an all-rounder who performs well in both departments. Dockrell has played 128 games and scored 969 runs with a best of 58 not out and has also 83 wickets so far.
2. Paul Stirling – Ireland :

Paul Stirling is a legend for his country in white-ball cricket and a consistent scorer. Stirling has played a total of 135 T20Is in his career so far. He has scored 3438 runs at an average of 28.18 and is among the highest run-scorers in the shorter format. Stirling has scored one hundred and 23 half-centuries so far.
1. Rohit Sharma – India :

Rohit Sharma is the first player to play 150 games T20Ist. His stature in this format of the game is pretty huge. Rohit has scored four hundreds in T20Is. He has played 150 matches and scored 3853 at an average of 31.07. Rohit has scored four centuries and 29 half-centuries so far.
