Angelo Mathews given out through ‘Time Out’

Angelo Mathews leisurely walked out to the middle, he took his own time even before he reached the crease. The situation grew even more peculiar when he had an issue with his helmet, leading him to call for a replacement. Meanwhile, Shakib and Bangladeshi team used the opportunity to appeal for a time-out, as per the rules governing this rare mode of dismissal. The umpires, bound by the regulations, had no choice but to grant the time-out, despite Mathews’ efforts to plead his case.

Twitter erupted after Angelo Mathews was given out, fans, experts and ex-cricketers reacted to the dismissal.
