David Warner completed his century in just 85 balls against Pakistan in Bengaluru.

Australian opening batter David Warner had a magnificent outing against Pakistan at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Warner smashed fourth consecutive ton against Pakistan in ODI cricket and also celebrated his 21st ODI ton in his career. David Warner went on to convert his hundred into a big score and smashed 163 runs in 124 balls. Warner smashed 14 fours and nine sixes during his marvelous knock. He missed on converting this into a double ton.

Fans and cricketers on social media also celebrated David Warner’s swashbuckling knock and his ‘Pushpa’ celebration. Warner imitated the iconic ‘Pushpa Raaj’ celebration when he touched the 100-runs mark against Pakistan in Bangalore. He took only 85 balls to complete his fifth World Cup century. Famous cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle also predicted that there is a lot of life left in white-ball cricket.

Here's how twitter reacted to David Warner's sensational century:

Brutal attack from David Warner and Marsh

David Warner added 259 runs for the first wicket along with Mitchell Marsh, who also went on to score a century on his birthday. Warner took on Pakistani bowlers starting with the first powerplay itself. Warner and Marsh added 82 runs in the first 10 overs, with Warner smashing most of the boundaries. He smashed three fours and three sixes inside the first powerplay and took his score to 40 runs in just 29 balls. This also set the tone for him in the rest of the innings.

David Warner looked comfortable enough to go on and score a double ton against Pakistan in Bengaluru, but he fell short by 37 runs. Warner got two lifelines during his innings and was dropped when he was batting on 10 runs, and then he was put down once again on 110. Warner was caught by Shadab Khan when he was trying to play a drive down the ground. He mistimed that shot and lost his wicket to Haris Rauf.

The entire M. Chinnaswamy Stadium was on its feet to applaud one of the most special World Cup knocks played by an Australian opener against Pakistan. Bengaluru crowd was extremely cheerful for Australians during their innings. Pakistan have restricted Australia to 367 runs after a brutal 259-runs opening stand between Marsh and Warner. Pakistan need 368 runs to chase against Aussies and get back to winning ways.
