Rishabh Pant got out for 7 runs in LSG vs SRH clash.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are locking horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in match No. 61 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Monday, May 19. The venue of the LSG vs SRH clash is Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

SRH skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bowl first in the match. LSG skipper Rishabh Pant failed to score once again and got out cheaply in the clash. Pant arrived at the crease at No. 3, but could only score seven runs off six balls before becoming a victim of Eshan Malinga.

LSG openers Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram slammed half-centuries to provide a stunning start to the batting. They also etched an outstanding opening stand of 115 runs. Later, Nicholas Pooran added 45 runs as LSG ended with 205/7 on the scoreboard.

Fans slam Rishabh Pant on X

Notably, the Super Giants need to win the rest of all three games to keep their chances of reaching playoffs alive. However, Pant failed to fire with the bat in the crucial game against SRH. After Pant came with yet another poor batting show in IPL 2025, fans slammed him on the micro-blogging platform X (formerly Twitter).

The LSG skipper has scored just 135 runs across 11 innings at a poor batting average of 12.27. He has scored only one fifty in the tournament. He has got out for single digits in most of the games. Pant was the costliest player at the IPL 2025 mega auction, where LSG bought him for INR 27 crore.

LSG have also struggled to win games consistently under Pant’s captaincy. They have played 11 games so far, winning five games and losing six matches. They currently hold the seventh spot in the points table with 10 points. They have a narrow competition with Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) to capture a spot in the playoffs.
