Twitter reacts as Netherlands defeated Bangladesh in match No. 28 in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in Kolkata

Netherlands defeated Bangladesh by 87 runs at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
It has been a brilliant ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 so far, with a number of big teams going down and favourites getting hammered by the other opposition. So far, this tournament has produced some brilliant games of cricket. Just like the game that ended just a few hours ago between Australia and New Zealand in Dharamsala.
In the 28th game of the tournament, Bangladesh locked horns with Netherlands at one of the most iconic stadiums, Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The game started with Netherlands winning the toss and deciding to bat first. Once again, the top-order failed as they were 63/4 in just 14.4 overs, but then the lower-order held the innings together.
Netherlands register their second victory in the tournament
Skipper Scott Edwards was once again at the rescue work and played a brilliant innings of 68 off 89. Wesley Barresi, who played his first game of the tournament, played a 41-ball 41. Netherlands got all out for 229 runs in 50 overs. For Bangladesh, Shoriful Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahim, and Mahedi Hasan took two wickets each.
It looked like an easy chase for Bangladesh, but Netherlands bowlers were too good for them. Bangladesh lost both openers for 19 runs and kept losing wickets. They lost six batters for just 70 runs in 17.4 overs. In the end, Bangladesh got all out, and Netherlands registered their second win of the tournament and second against a test-playing nation after beating Bangladesh. Former cricketers, cricket pundits, and fans congratulated the Dutch on their victory.
Aryan Dutt bowled superbly and took 1/26 in ten overs. Every bowler chipped in with wickets. Paul van Meekeren took four wickets, led his team to victory, and was adjudged man of the match. It was a spirited performance from the Netherlands as they bowled out Bangladesh for just 142 runs in 42.2 overs and won by 87 runs. It was their biggest World Cup win in history.
