Pakistan defeated India U19 by 8 wickets in the league game of ACC U19 Asia Cup 2023.

India U19 have suffered a shock defeat against Pakistan U19 in the ACC U19 Asia Cup 2023. India registered a win against Afghanistan in the opening game, but they suffered a massive setback against Pakistan at the ICC Academy Stadium in Dubai. The Indian middle-order failed miserably against Pakistan pace bowlers. Pakistan will go on to top of the table in Group A with two consecutive wins in the tournament.

Indian fans are in shock after the junior team’s defeat in the U19 Asia Cup, while Pakistan fans rejoice the win against their arch rivals. Pakistan recently had a dismal World Cup 2023 campaign in India they missed out on knockout qualification. Pakistan’s emerging team defeated India in the Emerging Asia Cup 2023 final as well earlier this year in July. Several reactions have poured in after the game ended.

Here’s how twitter reacted to Pakistan U19’s win over India U19:

Pakistan U19 demolish India U19 by 8 wickets

Pakistan U19 captain Saad Baig won the toss and elected India U19 to bat first in Dubai. India had a decent opening start with Adarsh Singh (62) and Arshin Kulkarni. They both added 39 for the opening wicket in 9 overs. Right arm pacer Amir Hasan dismissed Arshin Kulkarni caught behind the wicket. Pakistan struck twice as Mohammad Zeeshan got Rudra Patel on just one run. India then again had a decent stand for the third wicket.

Captain Uday Sharan (60) and Adarsh Singh added 93 runs for the third wicket to give them a platform for a decent score. Sachin Dhas played a blinder in the lower order and scored 58 runs in 48 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes. India posted 259 runs on the board in 50 overs. India introduced off-spinners early on in Pakistan’s chase. Murugan Abhishek dismissed the opener Shamyl Hussain on 5th over. Pakistan chased down 260 runs easily after losing their opening wicket.

Opener Shahzaib Khan (63) and number 3 batsman Azam Awais (105) played magnificent knocks along with skipper Saad Baig (68), who came in at number 4. Azam Awais never left the control of the chase against Indian bowlers and Pakistan won the second successive game in the tournament. India will be taking on Nepal U19 on Tuesday in their third league game. India are placed in the Group A with Pakistan, Nepal, Afghanistan U19 teams.
