Indian batting legend Rohit Sharma is celebrating his birthday on Wednesday, April 30. The India ODI and test skipper has turned 38 years old. On his birthday, many cricketers and Indian cricket fans showered birthday wishes for him on the micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter).
Sharma was born on April 30, 1987 in Nagpur district in Maharashtra. He has been one of the best opening batters to play for India across all three formats. Sharma also led the Indian team to two ICC titles under his captaincy. Team India won the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and ICC Champions Trophy 2025 under his captaincy.
Hence, his birthday is quite special in 2025 as he fulfilled the dreams of many Indian fans over the last one year. Sharma only represents Team India in ODIs and tests as of now. He retired from the shortest format after winning the T20 World Cup last year. However, he is still active in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
