Along with Sachin, Virat Kohli (13,024), Sourav Ganguly (11,363), Rahul Dravid (10,889), and MS Dhoni (10,773) are on this elite list from India. Rohit had the slowest start of his ODI career as he took 83 innings in 87 games to complete his 2000 runs. For the next 8,000 runs, he took only 158 innings, testifying himself as one of the greats.
Rohit Sharma has played 248 ODI games so far for India and has batted with a brilliant average of 48.91 and scored 30 centuries and 51 half-centuries. Rohit Sharma also touched a special milestone just an innings before in his career, as he scored his 50th half-century for India in ODIs. This milestone came against arch-rivals Pakistan in Colombo. Indian openers are on the roll against Sri Lankan bowlers in the power play and have scored 65 runs without losing a wicket in the first 10 overs.
