Happy Birthday Sachin Tendulkar: Cricket fraternity flood X with wishes as the Master Blaster turns 52

Sachin Tendulkar was born on April 24, 1973, in Mumbai.
Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar turned 52 years old on Thursday, April 24, 2025. On the occasion of his birthday, the cricket fraternity wished him with heartwarming messages on social media. Notably, Tendulkar is considered the most successful batsman to ever play for Indian cricket team. The right-handed batsman is the highest run-scorer in international cricket.
As Tendulkar turned 52, many cricketers poured wishes for him on the micro-blogging site X (Twitter). “Master Blaster” became a trending topic on X in India. Former Indian cricketers like Aakash Chopra, Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, and Yusuf Pathan wished Tendulkar on his birthday. Sachin Tendulkar is the first and only player to slam 100 centuries in international cricket
Although the Master Blaster has many batting records to his name, one of the long-standing records is 100 centuries in international cricket. He was also the first batsman to score a 200-run knock in men’s ODI cricket. Tendulkar is also the leading run-getter in ODIs and tests separately.
Tendulkar, often referred to as ‘God of Cricket,’ represented India for over 24 years from 1989 to 2013. He played a total of 200 tests and 463 ODIs; smacking 15921 runs and 18426 runs in both formats respectively. He shattered 51 tons in tests and 49 in ODIs. He played just one T20I game in his career.
Tendulkar also represented Mumbai Indians (MI) team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) across 78 games from 2008 to 2013 seasons. He has been associated with the side as mentor. Currently, he has been active in the Legends League Cricket – a cricket tournament for retired international cricketers.
