Shreyas Iyer hits maiden World Cup century

In his innings, Shreyas Iyer hit 10 boundaries and 5 sixes. Iyer missed out on a well-deserved century in the last game against South Africa, but scored in the last league game. Iyer is one of the best middle-order batsman of India. His World Cup campaign didn’t start well as he was not scoring big, but he will be high in confidence with his recent performances.

India ended with a score of 410/4 in 50 overs. Shreyas Iyer finished at 128 and KL Rahul hit the fastest century by an Indian in World Cup. India would be looking to get few early wickets to put pressure on Netherlands.

Social media erupted after the batter got to his century, and applauded for his innings.
