IND vs ENG: Twitter erupts as Yashasvi Jaiswal brings up his 100 with a six in second test

Yashasvi Jaiswal took India to commanding position with his century in the Visakhapatnam test.
Indian opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal has dominated the first two sessions of play against England in the second test. Visakhapatnam’s Dr. YSR ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium became a special venue for Jaiswal as he went on to slam second test ton in his career. The 22-year-old left-hand batter had a special outing on the first day of the second test match and put India in a comfortable position in the first two sessions of play.
Yashasvi Jaiswal’s first-ever test ton came in his debut test match against West Indies. He went on to play a marathon innings and scored 171 runs in his maiden test innings. Now in his tenth test innings, he converted the start into a triple-figure mark. Jaiswal began aggressively but Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill’s dismissals made him slow down. Jaiswal brought up his test ton with a brilliant down-the-ground six against Tom Hartley.
Jaiswal’s grand celebration!
Social media hugely celebrated his century. Indian fans poured their wishes on Twitter. Jaiswal completed his test ton in just 151 balls. The left-hand batter began nicely and scored two boundaries against Joe Root in the second over of the game. Jaiswal had to slow down after India lost Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. Later on, Jaiswal took India out of crisis and added a brilliant 90-run stand with Shreyas Iyer.
Here’s how twitter reacted to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s sensational ton:
Jaiswal brought up his second test ton in a grand manner. He played two dot balls in Hartley’s 15th over. Putting the milestone pressure away, Jaiswal came down the track and sent the ball back to long-on boundary in a Sourav Ganguly-esque shot. He immediately took off his helmet and blew a kiss towards the crowd present at the Dr. YSR ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
Yashasvi Jaiswal will be expected to play a marathon knock in the Visakhapatnam test. Tom Hartley had broken the third wicket partnership between Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer (27). Shreyas Iyer was caught by wicket-keeper Ben Foakes off Tom Hartley. James Anderson dismissed Shubman Gill caught behind the wicket on 34. Debutant Shoaib Bashir dismissed Rohit Sharma (14) as his maiden test wicket.
