Travis Head scored 29 runs in the third IND vs AUS ODI.

Australian opener Travis Head achieved a massive feat in the history of ODI cricket. He broke Steve Smith’s record of the Australian batter fastest to 3000 runs in ODI cricket, reaching the milestone in just 76 innings.

Travis Head achieved the feat in the ongoing third ODI of the three-match series between the Australian Cricket Team and the Indian Cricket Team. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney on Saturday, October 25.

Travis Head opened the innings for Australia in the third ODI against India and took his team off to a flying start with the bat. He took Indian pacers to the cleaners, hitting a flurry of boundaries inside the mandatory 10-over power play.

Travis Head looked in glorious touch with the bat and was looking all set for a big knock. However, his stay at the crease was cut short by Mohammed Siraj and he had to walk back in the 10th over.

Despite failing to score big, Head made sure that he created history. He became the fastest ever batter from Australia to score 3000 runs in ODIs, going past Steve Smith’s record, who achieved it in 79 innings.

David Warner – 81 Innings

Travis Head ended with an innings of 29 runs off 25 balls. His knock was laced by six boundaries as he added 61 runs opening partnership with Mitchell Marsh, who hammered 41 runs.

Overall this was a quiet series for Head as he failed to make a big impact. In the first ODI, he managed just eight runs and followed it up with a 28-run knock in the second match in Adelaide. Thankfully, that didn’t cost Australia as they won the series in the second game itself.
