Stuart Broad retired from international cricket in July 2023 after playing 167 tests for England.

Stuart Broad was one of the finest pacers that England have ever produced in their cricket history. In fact, he just retired after the fifth and final Ashes test against Australia in July at the Oval. He finished with a wicket off his final ball and led his team to victory, and to level the series at 2-2.

However, it has been a great journey for the 37-year-old, and he has seen many ups and downs in his superb 17-year-old international career. From getting hit for six consecutive sixes in an over by Yuvraj Singh to finishing his career as the second-highest wicket-taker for England in international cricket. He retired with 604 wickets in 167 tests at an average of 27.68. Broad also picked up 20 five-wicket hauls with a best of 8/15.

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club to rename a pavilion at Trent Bridge after Stuart Broad

With such a legacy, Stuart Broad has certainly registered his name as one of the modern-day greats in English cricket. As a result, the Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club has decided to rename the Pavilion End at the Trent Bridge after Stuart Broad. The pacer retired as the fifth-highest wicket-taker in test erena. He also had a hat-trick at Trent Bridge in 2011 against India.

In 2015, he registered his career-best at the same venue against Australia, which is the best bowling figure at Trent Bridge. And the end that saw these two landmarks will now be called "Stuart Broad End." Broad said in an interaction, "When I first visited Trent Bridge, as a kid with dreams of pulling on the Nottinghamshire and England jerseys, I could never have imagined I'd be fortunate enough to enjoy so many memorable moments in the game."

In 43 games at this venue, he has taken 190 wickets. He was also a key member of the team when England won the 2010 T20 World Cup. Nottinghamshire Chairman Andy Hunt, in an interview, lauded the former pacer and said, "Stuart's achievements at the highest level are quite remarkable. Stuart has been the perfect ambassador for Nottinghamshire. It feels only fitting that the end of his home ground where he recorded some of his greatest achievements, will now serve as a permanent honour to his cricketing career."
