Twitter divided on Jonny Bairstow's controversial dismissal in Lord's test

Jonny Bairstow got dismissed in an unlucky controversial run-out on day 5 of the 2nd test at the Lord's.
England’s wicket-keeper batter Jonny Bairstow had a brain fade moment in the second innings of the 2nd Test at the Lord’s. Bairstow had a strange dismissal as Alex Carey after collecting the ball threw it on stumps when Bairstow right after the leave came forward and walked towards the bowler and the ball was not dead, he was adjudged Run out by the umpires.
Bairstow’s dismissal divided social media users with two different opinions on the same dismissal. England are chasing 371 runs to win the second test of the Ashes 2023. Bairstow could only score 10 runs and added only 16 runs with England captain Ben Stokes.
Cricket fans were stunned by Jonny Bairstow’s run-out, while few claimed Bairstow was out while few claimed his dismissal was against the spirit of the game. Lord’s crowd also booed at the Australian Cricket Team when they were walking out during the lunch break. Fans have also questioned the sportsmanship of the Australian cricket team after Bairstow was given out by the third umpire. Former English captain Eoin Morgan called Carey’s alertness in the game a smart play at the crucial hour. A lot of fans have also claimed Alex Carey’s work behind the stump as smart play.
Here's how twitter reacted to Jonny Bairstow's controversial dismissal:
After Bairstow’s dismissal, English captain Ben Stokes took on Australian bowlers aggressively and smashed 46 runs in 21 balls. Ben Stokes is still in the crease and keeping England in the chase. Australia are already 1-0 up in the 5-match series. Stokes won the Headingley test alone with Jack Leach as Non-striker in the 2019 Ashes test.
