Twitter reacts as Virat Kohli's century helps RCB keep their hopes alive for IPL 2023 playoffs

RCB opener Virat Kohli scored 100 off 63 deliveries against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 65th match of IPL 2023.

India’s record-breaking superstar has once again put his name in record books. Virat Kohli with a magnificent century has equaled Chris Gayle’s record of scoring the most number of centuries in the Indian Premier League. Virat Kohli scored his 6th IPL century. He tamed Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowling attack and hit his 6th IPL ton after 4 years. Chris Gayle is leading the tally of scoring most centuries in the IPL. Gayle has scored 6 in his 141 innings. Virat’s shot making was top-class in a big run chase of 187 runs. This is Virat’s 7th century in the T20 format. He holds the record for smashing most centuries in the T20 format by an Indian. 

As Virat was nearing his ton, G.O.A.T. started trending on social media. Fans started celebrating Virat’s one of the greatest IPL centuries. There were praises for Virat's special shots. He smashed Mayank Dagar’s one delivery over deep mid-wicket for a six, this etched in everyone's memory for the day. Just like every time, there was a special celebration by Virat after his 6th IPL ton. Henrich Klassen also came forward to congratulate Virat for his innings. Earlier in the game, Heinrich Klassen also smashed a ton in 49 balls that took SRH close to 190. 

RCB opener Virat Kohli completed his hundred on 62 deliveries. He smashed 12 fours and 4 sixes in his inning. Virat set an example for others with his batting. He added 172 runs with his opening partner and captain of RCB, Faf du Plessis (71). Right after scoring a ton, Virat Kohli got out trying to finish the game as early as possible. RCB have defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets and have taken a step forward for IPL 2023 playoffs.
