Twitter brutally trolls Sanju Samson as he flops with the bat on ODI comeback in 2nd ODI vs WI

Sanju Samson managed to score 9 runs off 19 deliveries in the second ODI against West Indies.

In the second ODI against West Indies, the Indian team management made a strategic decision to give rest to two key players, skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

As a result of Rohit and Kohli being rested, it opened an opportunity for Sanju Samson and Axar Patel to make their way into the playing XI. Both Samson and Patel were given the chance to showcase their talent and skills on the field.

For Sanju Samson, this match held immense significance as it marked his long-awaited return to the national team after a hiatus of 9 months. He had last represented India in the series against New Zealand in November 2022.

When he came to bat at the number three position, India's were at 90-1, following the dismissal of Shubman Gill. During his innings, Sanju Samson was accompanied by Ishan Kishan, who was playing well and reached his half-century. However, shortly after Kishan's dismissal, Axar Patel came in to bat at number four but was unable to stay at the crease for long and got out early. Hardik Pandya followed him, but he also departed quickly.

Unfortunately, Sanju Samson couldn't capitalize on the opportunity to make a significant impact in his comeback match. He struggled to find his rhythm and was dismissed after scoring just 9 runs. His innings came to an end after facing only 19 balls, with Yannic Cariah taking the crucial wicket. It must have been a bittersweet moment for Samson, who had eagerly awaited the chance to prove himself again in the ODI format, but unfortunately, he couldn't make the most of it on this occasion.

As a result of losing Sanju Samson's wicket, India's score has now reached 113-5 after 24.1 overs. Following the batter's flop show in the second ODI, fans have taken it to social media to troll the Kerala batsman.
