Twitter reacts as Yashasvi Jaiswal hits the fastest fifty ever in IPL
Yashasvi Jaiswal took only 13 deliveries to smash a half-century against the hosts KKR at Eden Gardens.
The world is a no-new customer to the prodigy of Yashasvi Jaiswal as proven again and again this season. Jaiswal, who brought his Midas touch in IPL 2023, took the onslaught on the KKR bowlers to dish out the fastest fifty ever in the history of IPL. By the end of the third over of the RR innings, Jaiswal powered to his 13-ball fifty with a rendition of class for the whole world to see.
Yashasvi Jaiswal turned the pages of history books to etch his name ahead of KL Rahul and Pat Cummins who scored the previous joint-fastest fifties in IPL - a 14-ball half-century. He started off his innings with some intent as he took on the KKR skipper, Nitish Rana and scored 26 runs off his first over. Carrying the confidence into the innings, he demolished every bowler who came in his way - along the ground and out of the park. In an all-important encounter for both teams, Jaiswal's mayhem destructed KKR's IPL 2023 campaign.
Jaiswal's IPL 2023 campaign so far has been one to remember for a long time as the skillful southpaw has scored over 500 runs which includes a century and four half-centuries. He is marginally behind Faf du Plessis from the list of the leading run-scorers this season.
The world at the feet of Yashasvi Jaiswal
Yashasvi Jaiswal's entertaining package of 13-ball fifty took Twitter by storm. Notching up the fastest fifty ever in the history of IPL. One of the most upcoming promising talents in the Indian circuit, Jaiswal is banging down the door of selectors with performances as such. Chasing 150 runs to get two crucial points and against a good bowling attack of KKR, the chase was expected to be tricky. But Jaiswal had different plans.
Right from ball one, Jaiswal showed intent and was only looking to deal with boundaries. His knock of 98*(47) single-handedly took the game away from KKR as they were left clueless to the tough questions posed by Jaiswal.
While Jaiswal's pyrotechnics took the on-ground stage by storm, the Twitterverse showered nothing but praises for his efforts.
