ICC U19 World Cup 2024: Pakistan squad, schedule, timings, when and where to watch

Pakistan have already lifted the U19 World Cup title twice.

South Africa will host the 15th edition of the ICC U19 World Cup, which will begin on January 19, 2024. South Africa will host the tournament for the second time after 2020.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) suspended Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) for political reasons during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, allowing South Africa to host the U19 World Cup for the third time in the history.

The 16 competing nations have been placed into four groups, with 48 matches to be played in total during the U19 World Cup 2024. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage.

Super six round will be divided into two groups, each consisting of six teams. The top three-teams from groups A and D will advance to group 1, while teams from groups B and C will move on to group 2. The top two-teams from each super six group will compete in the semi-finals.

Pakistan’s squad for the U19 World Cup 2024:

Pakistan are placed in group D along with Afghanistan, Nepal and New Zealand.

Saad Baig was named captain of Pakistan World Cup U19 team and he has previous experience of playing in U19 ICC events as well. Pakistan have a strong batting line-up which consists of Ali Asfand, Ahmed Hussain, Azan Awais and Haroon Arshad. Even Pakistani bowlers like Amir Hussain, Ubaid Shah, Arafat Minhas and Mohammad Zeeshan have good experience playing in PSL.
