UP Warriorz full squad after WPL 2025 auction

UP Warriorz made three acquisition at the WPL 2025 auction.

UP Warriorz (UPW) stood out at the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 auction as the only team to make fewer than four acquisitions.

UP Warriorz secured a total of three players at the WPL 2025 auction, including Australian spin-bowling all-rounder Alana King. King boasts an impressive record in WT20Is, having taken 21 wickets in 22 matches at an economy of 6.2.

Last season, the Alyssa Healy-led team finished fourth in the points table. While the bowling unit contributed well, he franchise was majorly let down by the inconsistent batting performances throughout the season.

UPW headed into the WPL 2025 auction with three available spots and filled it with one overseas and two Indian players. In addition to King, the franchise roped in youngsters Arushi Goel and Kranti Goud for INR 10 lakhs each.

UPW have primarily brought in Kranti Goud to strengthen their thin pace department, while Delhi batter Arushi Goel is expected to power-hitting depth to the lineup.

Speaking after the auction the UPW coach Jon Lewis said, “We are very happy with our picks at the auction. We have of course maintained the core, and there is a healthy mix of the exuberance of youth and priceless experience.
