Vaibhav Suryavanshi powers India U-19 to a four-wicket win with 31-ball 86 against England U-19 in 3rd Youth ODI

Vaibhav Suryavanshi is the leading run-getter for India in the ongoing series against England U-19.
India Under-19 team and England Under-19 team are locking horns in a five-match Youth ODI series. On Wednesday (2nd July), both teams wrestled in the third Youth ODI, and Vaibhav Suryavanshi played a scintillating knock to power his team to a victory.
Suryavanshi, who opened for India U-19 in the match, hammered quickfire 86 runs off just 31 deliveries during the chase. During his knock, the left-handed batsman slammed six boundaries and nine sixes, batting at a massive strike rate of 277.42.
The encounter took place at County Ground in Northampton. India U-19 won the toss and opted to bowl first. For England, openers BJ Dawkins (62) and Isaac Mohammed (41) gave a good start with a stand of 78 runs.
Later, skipper Thomas Rew slammed an unbeaten 76 runs to drive the team to a powerful total of 268/6. Kanishk Chouhan clinched a three-wicket haul for India, while Deepesh Devendran, Vihaan Malhotra, and Naman Pushpak picked one wicket each.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi set the platform for India U-19’s victory
During the chase, opener Suryavanshi set the platform for victory with his quickfire half-century after India lost stand-in captain Abhigyan Kundu (12) cheaply. Vihaan Malhotra also played a crucial role with the bat at No. 3, scoring 46 runs.
Later, Kanishk Chouhan (43*) and RS Ambrish (31*) helped India win the match by four wickets in just 34.3 overs. With the victory in the third Youth ODI, India lead the five-match series 2-1. Earlier, they won the first game by six wickets and lost the second match by one wicket.
Suryavanshi has been the leading run-scorer for India U-19 so far with 179 runs across three innings. He also scored a match-winning knock of 48 runs in the opening game. The fourth Youth ODI between India U-19 and England U-19 will take place on July 5 at New Road, Worcester.
