Vaibhav Suryavanshi scripts history; Breaks all-time record for most sixes in Youth ODIs

Vaibhav Suryavanshi achieved the feat during India U-19 vs Australia U-19 2nd Youth ODI.
India Under-19 batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi has made his presence felt with the bat in the ongoing Youth ODI series against Australia Under-19. He has carried on his form from the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the England tour in Australia, scoring crucial runs for his side.
During the second Youth ODI between both the sides in Brisbane on Wednesday (September 24), India U-19 batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi broke the all-time record for most sixes in Youth ODI history. The left-handed batsman hammered a half-century in the match, scoring 70 runs off 68 balls with five boundaries and six sixes.
With the knock, not only did he help his team win, but also he scripted the record for most sixes in Youth ODIs, breaking former India U-19 captain Unmukt Chand’s record.
Suryavanshi now has 41 sixes in ten Youth ODI games. Unmukt Chand had slammed 38 sixes in 21 games, taking double the number of games than Suryavanshi to reach the mark. The next player on the list is Bangladesh’s Zawad Abrar, who has hit 35 sixes in 22 games.

India U19 defeat Australia U19 in 2nd Youth ODI to win three-match series
Meanwhile, India U19 defeated Australia U19 by 51 runs in the second Youth ODI. After being asked to bat first in the match, India U19 lost their captain Ayush Mhatre (0) for a duck. However, with half-centuries by Suryavanshi (70), Vihaan Malhotra (70), and Abhigyan Kundu (71), India piled up a commendable total of 300/10.
Later, they bowled out Australia U19 for 249 runs, winning the encounter by a decent margin. Jayden Draper (107) hammered a century for Australia U19, however, he failed to drive the team to victory.
Indian bowlers showed brilliant teamwork in bowling to dominate Australian batters. Skipper Mhatre clinched a three-wicket haul, while Kanishk Chouhan got two scalps. Kishan Kumar, RS Ambrish, Khilan Patel, and Vihaan Malhotra captured one wicket each in their kitties.
With the victory, India U19 have extended their lead to 2-0 in the three-match series and have sealed the series with one match to go. Earlier, they crushed the hosts by seven wickets in the first game, chasing down a 226-run target in the clash. With 108 runs in two matches, Suryavanshi is the leading run-scorer for the team.
