Opener Shubman Gill also played a decent anchor role, but both of them couldn’t take their innings to a longer conclusion. Kagiso Rabada dismissed Rohit Sharma, and Shubman Gill was castled by left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj in his first over.
Keshav Maharaj delivered ‘ball of the tournament’ to Shubman Gill and dismissed him on 23 runs. Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer took the charge after India lost two wickets.
