Indian Cricket Team star batter Virat Kohli is gearing up for the ODI series against New Zealand, which will be the Men in Blue’s opening assignment in 2026. The New Zealand tour of India 2026 will witness an ODI and a T20I series, with the first ODI set to take place in Vadodara on January 11.
Kohli gave a stunning performance in the previous ODI series against South Africa. The right-handed batsman hammered two centuries and an unbeaten half-century in the three-match campaign, winning the Player of the Series award. He also played a pivotal role in driving the team to a 2-1 victory.
After a successful ODI campaign, he made a mark in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) 2025-26 while playing for Delhi. He made a grand entry with a century in the opening game against Andhra, backing it up with a half-century against Gujarat.
With his stunning show, he has impressed his fans and will look forward to replicating the performance in the campaign against the Black Caps. He is now training in Vadodara ahead of the first ODI.

Meanwhile, India and New Zealand will lock horns in three ODI games. After the opening game in Vadodara, the next two clashes will take place on January 14 in Rajkot and January 18 in Indore. Later, both sides will lock horns in five T20I matches. Kohli will look to continue his powerful show against the BlackCaps.
