Star Indian batter Virat Kohli skipped the five-match test series against England due to birth of his second child.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fans have a good news as star Indian batter Virat Kohli will making his comeback during the IPL 2024. Kohli recently skipped the five-match test series against England citing personal reasons, but later it got revealed that he and his wife Anushka have been blessed with a baby boy.

Virat Kohli was with his family during the time of his son Akaay’s birth. However, on Sunday, 17th March, a video went viral over social media showing Kohli returning back from London following birth of his son Akaay. Kohli is expected to join the RCB camp soon ahead of their first match of IPL 2024 against defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Chennai.

Kohli arrives in India

After arriving at the airport, Virat Kohli also had a bit of casual interaction with the journalists. Kohli was asked by a photographer, “Kohli Sir, Aap kaise ho? (How are you Kohli sir?)” RCB star politely responded, “Badhiya, Aap Theek ho? (I am Fine, Are you?)”. Kohli then posed for a photograph and walked into his car and left.

Virat Kohli missed the first T20I match against Afghanistan during three-match T20I series in January. Kohli made his comeback in T20Is after more than a year during the second T20I against Afghanistan at Holkar Stadium in Indore. Kohli also took part in the third T20I against Afghanistan before taking a sabbatical from international cricket to stay with his family.

Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore have not won a title in the Indian Premier League history so far. RCB qualified for the final thrice in the league, but are yet to lift the title. RCB will open their IPL 2024 campaign against defending champions Chennai Super Kings. Kohli will look forward to lift his first ever IPL title in the upcoming season.
