Virat Kohli bowled for the first time in ODIs after six years in IND vs BAN ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match 17.

Team India are taking on Bangladesh in match 17 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the MCA Stadium in Pune. The game started with Bangladesh winning the toss and asked India to bowl first. It is a high-scoring ground, and Bangladesh had a pretty cautious start to the game. They scored ten runs in the first five overs.

But the next five overs produced 53 runs, and Bangladesh ended the first power-play at 63/0. That was a rather poor start for Indian bowlers. India also had an injury scare for Hardik Pandya, who suffered an ankle injury and went off the field during the ninth over of the innings. He bowled just three balls in his spell and was taken off the field.

Hardik came onto the field at the ninth over and got hit for two boundaries on the first three balls of his innings. He tried to stop the ball with his foot and fell on the ground, and his ankle was twisted. He was seen in pain, and the medical team checked on him. Later, it was decided that he wasn't 100 percent ready to bowl, and he went off the field.

With three balls more to be bowled, it was then that Virat Kohli came on to bowl, and he had a loud cheer from the fans when he took the ball in his hand. Notably, Virat hasn't bowled for six years, and this was the first time that he was bowling in six years, which is why it was a scene to watch.

Team India have won all three games so far in this tournament, and with a win against Bangladesh, they can jump to the top position. On the other hand, Bangladesh have lost two out of three games and desperately need this win to stay in contention for the semi-finals.
