Virat Kohli posts a cryptic message after India lose ICC WTC final against Australia
Virat Kohli got out on 49 runs in 71 balls in the second innings of the ICC WTC final.
Indian star batter Virat Kohli has posted yet another cryptic story on Instagram after India’s World Test Championship Final defeat against Australia. Virat Kohli made India believe after his positive batting at the last hour of play on day 4. Kohli along with Ajinkya Rahane added 71 runs for the 4th wicket on day 4. Virat Kohli missed his half-century by just one run and got out to Scott Boland trying to play a full ball way outside off stump. Virat once again poked a ball that was far away from him and ended up getting an outside edge to the second slip where Steve Smith took a blinder of a catch diving to his right.
Virat Kohli has been criticised heavily for his shot selection. Now, he has posted an Instagram story with the text, “Silence is the source of great strength”. Virat also posted an Instagram story at the end of day 4 stating, “If we have too many worries, fears, and doubts, we have no room for living and loving. We need to practice letting go”. Virat got out to a superb delivery of Mitchell Starc in the first innings. Starc bowled a bouncer to surprise Kohli and went back into the dressing room on just 14. In the second innings, Virat scored 49 runs in 71 balls. As long as he was there at the wicket, India kept believing they could chase down 444 runs.
India lost the previous World Test Championship Final against New Zealand in Southampton under Virat Kohli’s leadership. Virat was stripped of the limited overs' captaincy role after his multiple failures in big ICC events and eventually quit test captaincy too in 2022. Australia dominated the entire game against India and they didn’t let them take any opportunity to turn the table. Australia defeated India by a huge margin of 209 runs. India bundled out on 234 runs in the second inning.
