Virat Kohli vs LSG fight: "You're not even equivalent to dirt of my shoes," another video emerges on social media
Virat Kohli was a man on fire with verbal altercations with several LSG players and mentor Gautam Gambhir as well.
In another video emerging from the highly charged Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) IPL 2023 match in Lucknow on May 1st in which Virat Kohli can be seen taking dirt from the sole of his shoes and showing it to Naveen Ul Haq during an altercation between the two.
The match was won by RCB who batted first and posted 126/9 in 20 overs with Faf du Plessis making 44 and Virat Kohli scoring 31 runs. In reply, Josh Hazlewood and Karn Sharma took two wickets apiece as LSG only managed 106 runs and lost by 18 runs in the end.
For LSG, Naveen Ul Haq was the star with the ball with three wickets, however, when he came to bat, he had a seriously angry altercation, first with Mohammed Siraj and then with Virat Kohli.
Kohli approached Naveen for something he said to Siraj and kept giving him a piece of his mind even as the on-field umpire and Amit Mishra intervened to calm him down.
Virat Kohli shows his shoe to Naveen, takes dirt from it, and points it towards the Afghan player
The row began in the fag end of Lucknow's innings, in the 17th over, when Kohli was seen having a lengthy and heated chat with Naveen and the umpires. An over later, the entire footage was played by the broadcasters where Kohli seemed to have said something which led to a reaction from Naveen as he charged towards him.
Kohli verbally retaliated and also showed his shoe before pointing at Naveen. He also picked some dirt from his shoe and pointed it towards the Afghan pacer and then walked off mouthing something.
It was not clear what Kohli was trying to say but a player of his stature pointing at his shoe did not paint a rosy picture.
