During his breaks, Virat Kohli has been often spotted in London over the past year.
Indian superstar cricketer Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma has dropped a massive bombshell confirmation that Kohli, along with his wife and kids, would soon move to London permanently.
Over the past year, the rumors of Kohli’s potential permanent shift to London have taken fire. During his breaks from cricket, the 36-year-old has often been seen in London.
Earlier this year, Kohli’s wife, the Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, gave birth to their second child, Akaay, in London.
While Kohli prepares for the fourth BGT 2024-25 test in Melbourne, his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma gave a massive update on the cricketer’s future plans.
In an interview with Dainik Jagran newspaper, Rajkumar said, “Yes, Virat is planning to move to London. He’ll leave India very soon.”
Is Virat Kohli planning to retire?
Rajkumar also shed light on what could Kohli’s retirement plans be. He said that not only Kohli isn’t thinking of retiring at the moment, he could even play in the 2027 ODI World Cup.
“Virat is still super fit, and retirement isn’t on the cards anytime soon. He’s got so much more to give to the game. I’ve known him since he was a kid, and I can say with confidence that there’s plenty of cricket left in him,” Rajkumar opined.
Meanwhile, Kohli’s form has suffered a dip after his century in Perth. Following his ton in India’s second in Perth, Kohli managed scores of 7, 11, and 3.
He would be hoping to rock back to form at the MCG and the following test at the SCG. India need to win both these tests to seal their place in the ICC WTC final.
