Virat Kohli receives medal for exceptional fielding in IND vs AUS CWC 2023 match

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul added 165 runs to take India home in IND vs AUS CWC 2023 match.
It was a perfect start for team India on Sunday in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 when they beat the five-time champions Australia at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. India had a brilliant bowling display, and the spinners made Australian batters dance on their spin. However, Australia made a remarkable comeback with the ball, dismissing the top three Indian batters for a duck each. But then Virat Kohli showed why he is called "Chase Master."
Virat Kohli and KL Rahul showed great determination and absorbed the pressure created by Australian new ball bowlers. Both stars added 165 runs for the fourth wicket, which was the highest fourth-wicket partnership against Australia in a World Cup game. As a result, India finished the game and registered their first win of the tournament.

The game started with Australian captain Pat Cummins winning the toss and electing to bat first. They looked good at 110/2, but then Indian spinners had a strong grip on the game. Australia lost their last eight wickets for just 89 runs and were dismissed for 199 runs in 49.3 overs. For India, Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of the bowlers with 3/28, while Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each.
India dominated the first innings with both bowling and fielding as well. It started with a brilliant diving catch by Virat Kohli to his left to dismiss the dangerous Mitchell Marsh from the bowling of Bumrah. As a result, the former captain received a special medal from fielding coach T. Dilip after the game in the dressing room. The BCCI also shared the video of that moment.
India were in deep trouble at 2/3, with Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Shreyas Iyer getting out on duck. But Virat Kohli scored 85 off 116 balls, with six fours. KL Rahul was equally impressive of his 97 not out from 115 balls, with eight fours and two sixes. India made 201/4 in 41.2 overs to win the game and register their first win on the table.
