Indian cricket team fans were taken aback as Virat Kohli, reportedly had to fly back to Mumbai due to a ‘personal emergency’ while the rest of Indian squad arrived in Trivandrum for their second warm-up game against the Netherlands. As ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 are just a few days away and teams are playing their warm-up matches, absence of Kohli from this warm-up match has raised questions about his availability and its potential impact on team India’s campaign.
There is no official confirmation by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) whether Kohli will miss the warm-up game, but there are reports suggesting that he will return in time to join his teammates for the clash against Netherlands on October 3.
