IPL 2023: Virat Kohli praises GT batsman Wriddhiman Saha for thrashing LSG bowlers
Virat Kohli showered praises on Gujarat Titans’ opener Wriddhiman Saha, who scored 81 off 43 deliveries against LSG.
Lucknow Super Giants captain Krunal Pandya won the toss and invited Gujarat Titans to bat first. Gujarat are making full use of the opportunity cruising toward a big score at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Titans’ openers Wriddhiman Saha (81) and Shubhman Gill started aggressively against Super Giants’ bowlers. Once against Titans’ wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha’s attacking game was on display. RCB batter and Former Indian team captain Virat Kohli was also in awe of Saha’s swashbuckling knock. He posted an Instagram story praising Saha’s power-hitting. Wriddhiman Saha and Shubhman Gill both added 78 runs in the power play.

Titans’ opener Saha played a blistering knock of 81 runs in 43 balls. RCB opener Virat Kohli is enjoying Wriddhiman Saha hitting Lucknow Super Giants bowlers all around the park. He smashed 10 fours and 4 sixes in his 43-balls innings. Kohli on Instagram posted a story praising Saha, He posted, “What a player!” Saha and Gill added 142 runs in 12 overs to give Gujarat Titans a great foundation to build a big score. Ahmedabad has been a high-scoring ground unlike Lucknow’s Ekana. A big score will put Lucknow’s batting under pressure. Gill is also going strong with a half-century in the game.
Wriddhiman Saha completed his half-century in just 20 balls. It was only the start of the 6th over when Saha raised his bat to celebrate his 50. This is Saha’s fastest IPL fifty. His previous quickest was 22 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders playing for Kings XI Punjab. This is a special game for the Pandya brothers. Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya are taking on each other for the first time as captains in the IPL.
