Virat Kohli quashes rumours of him earning 11.45 crore rupees per Instagram post
Reports earlier floated that Virat Kohli earns 11.45 crores per post on Instagram.
Virat Kohli is without a doubt the most popular cricketer of this generation, with a fan base from across the world. Not just the Indian fans, but even the fans from rival teams admire the former Indian captain, which makes him one of the most followed athletes and cricketers on social media. Hence, his earnings from social media platforms would undoubtedly be huge as well.
On Friday, a report from Hopper HQ caught the attention of the world, where it was mentioned that the former Indian captain earns a mind-boggling amount of INR 11.45 crore for one single post for the sponsors on his Instagram handle in 2023. As per the report, he featured in the list of top earners, which is topped by football great Cristiano Ronaldo. Argentine great Lionel Messi is next on that list.
Virat Kohli denies all such reports claiming he earns INR 11.45 crore per Instagram post
As per the reports, Ronaldo earned a staggering amount of 3.23 million USD (INR 26.75 crore approx) per post, while Messi charged 2.56 million USD (INR 21.49 crore). On that list, Virat Kohli was the only cricketer with an average earning of INR 11.45 crores per post. As soon as that report came out, it spread like a fire in the woods. Everyone seems to be talking about it on social media and sharing it with everyone.
But on the other hand, the former Indian captain has now reacted to it and denied the claim that he charged that much money. Virat took it to his Twitter account and wrote, “While I am grateful and indebted to all that I’ve received in life, the news that has been making rounds about my social media earnings is not true.”
Notably, Virat has 256 million followers on Instagram. Meanwhile, the former Indian captain is currently on break and preparing for the two big events coming up in the next 3–4 months. He will be back in action on September 2, when India will take on arch-rivals Pakistan in their first game of the Asia Cup 2023.
