Virat Kohli scored a half-century in MI vs RCB clash.
Mumbai Indians (MI) are clashing with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, April 12. It is the fourth game for both teams in IPL 2026. MI won the toss and chose to field first in the clash.
However, the decision did not work in their favour as RCB came up with a lethal batting show. Openers Phil Salt and Virat Kohli gave a spectacular start, etching an opening stand of 120 runs.
After Phil Salt got out for 78 runs, Kohli and Rajat Patidar kept the momentum going in the middle overs. Kohli scored a half-century, hitting five boundaries and one six, scoring 50 runs off 38 deliveries. Moreover, he also clinched a massive record against the Mumbai Indians.

Kohli has become the first batsman to score 1000 runs against Mumbai Indians. He has scored 1030 runs in 37 games against MI. However, this includes both IPL and the now-defunct Champions League.
In IPL, he has piled up 972 runs in 35 games against MI. He has also slammed seven half-centuries, including a highest score of unbeaten 92 runs. Kohli has shown decent form in IPL 2026, scoring 69, 28, and 32 in the previous three games.
Meanwhile, top three batters Salt, Kohli, and Patidar scored half-centuries for the side. They have made only one change to the playing XI, replacing Josh Hazlewood with Jacob Duffy.
The Hardik Pandya & Co. lost their previous two games after winning their opening clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Depsite the home advantage and winning the toss, MI bowlers could not come up with a dominating show against RCB.
