Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguy didn't shake hand after both the team's previous game in the IPL 2023.

Royal Challengers Bangalore got decimated by Delhi Capitals at Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium. Delhi Capitals have defeated RCB by 7 wickets and they have chased down 183 runs in the 17th over. RCB’s former captain Virat Kohli is in the news for some other reason apart from his batting as well. Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly share a tense relationship after the captaincy controversy around Virat Kohli. Sourav and Virat both didn’t greet each other in the previous RCB and DC game at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Now, in the reverse fixture, they both have decided to leave behind their ego and have greeted each other warmly after the result.

The Tension between these two legends began when Virat Kohli was ousted from ODI captaincy and Virat Kohli openly contradicted Sourav Ganguly and BCCI’s position on the leadership issue. After the T20 World Cup in 2021, BCCI decided to remove Virat from ODI captaincy and appointed Rohit Sharma as ODI captain. BCCI made their position clear that Virat was informed prior about the decision and then Virat just before leaving for South Africa said no one from the board had a discussion about leadership with him. Sourav Ganguly was the BCCI president at that time.

Virat Kohli recently had an altercation with his former Delhi and Indian teammate Gautam Gambhir. Gautam Gambhir is currently Lucknow’s mentor. After the game between LSG and RCB, they both were involved in a verbal spat. Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir both were fined 100% of their match fees. Virat Kohli, Sourav Ganguly, and Gautam Gambhir, all of them are legends of the game for India, and their every action and word impacts every single young cricketer.
