Virat Kohli has played three ODIs at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

Lord’s Cricket Ground is probably the most iconic cricket ground in the world. Known as the Home of Cricket, it has been the venue for many historic and iconic moments. Generations have passed, and many superstars of the game have left their mark while playing at this ground.

One of the players who has also played here is Virat Kohli. The premier batter has retired from the other two formats, Tests and T20Is, to focus on ODIs, and the third ODI between England and India could be the last time the giant of Indian cricket steps onto the iconic turf of Lord’s.

Across all formats, Virat Kohli has played nine matches at Lord’s, managing to score 204 runs in those nine innings at an average of just 22.66. He has failed to score a half-century at this ground, and it remains the only venue where Kohli hasn’t registered a fifty despite playing more than three matches.

In ODIs, Kohli has played three matches at Lord’s and has managed only 77 runs at an average of 25.67 and a strike rate of 65.81. His highest score at this ground is 45, which he made in 2018.

With Virat stepping onto the Home of Cricket against England for probably one last time, fans expect him to provide entertainment and improve his record at this venue. With the series on the line, the Indian team will need the best of Kohli to step up, as the team has struggled to build partnerships in the last few matches, the department where Kohli has shone the most.
