Washington Sundar bids an emotional goodbye to SRH camp as he gets ruled out of IPL 2023
Sunrisers Hyderabad will miss Washington Sundar's bowling the powerplay.
Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the IPL 2023 due to a hamstring injury. Washington Sundar has been an integral part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad setup. Washington Sundar played a pivotal role in SRH’s lower-order and spin bowling. This will be a major setback for Sunrisers as they are already struggling in the tournament. SRH have failed to win their last three games, including one against Delhi Capitals. SRH has bid an emotional farewell to Washington Sundar as he will be unable to take part in any of the SRH games for the rest of the season.
Washington Sundar shares an emotional message for fans
In a video tweeted by Sunrisers Hyderabad on Twitter, SRH players and support staff looked emotional while saying goodbye to Washington Sundar for the rest of the season. Sundar also looked emotional and he also shared a message to Sunrisers Hyderabad fans. In that video, Sundar said, “Hello Orange Army, It’s really sad and you know frustrating for me to leave the team at this point. I enjoyed playing, especially at the Uppal, when you guys come in large numbers. It was so heartening to play, especially on that ground and with so much crowd around. I am sure, I will get to play again over here”.
23-year-old all-rounder Washington Sundar contributed with both bat and ball. He scored 24 runs in 15 balls with 3 fours and also picked up 3 wickets in bowling in his last appearance for SRH against DC. Sundar in 5 innings this season has scored 60 runs with the bat and picked up 3 wickets. Sundar has bowled tough overs in the powerplay and SRH will have to find someone else for the job. Sunrisers Hyderabad will play their next game against Delhi Capitals at Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in Delhi on 29th April.
