Babar Azam asked Virat Kohli for his signed jersey after IND vs PAK match in Ahmedabad.

The game between India and Pakistan had a one-sided ending, and India were too good for the men in green as they registered a quite comfortable win and jumped up to the first position on the points table in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The much-awaited clash took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Team India ended up winning the game by seven wickets.

The win came with almost 20 overs to spare for India. Jasprit Bumrah was adjudged Man of the Match, having picked up 2/19 in seven overs and taking the wickets of Mohammad Rizwan and Shadab Khan. Later, Indian captain Rohit Sharma smashed a quick 63-ball 86, including six maximums and six fours, and Shreyas Iyer made an unbeaten 53 off 62 balls.

It was an embarrassing defeat for Babar Azam and his men, and the scoreline for India over Pakistan in the ODI World Cups remained unbeaten, and India have won all eight games against Pakistan now in the World Cup events. However, after the game, there was a moment when Babar Azam was seen asking for the signed jersey from Virat Kohli. It was another great moment for the two biggest superstars in their countries.

But former Pakistani legend Wasim Akram seemed unhappy at the incident and slammed the Pakistani captain. In his latest interaction, he said, "Babar should have not met Kohli on the ground. This was not the situation to meet Kohli openly. Babar should have taken the shirt privately from Virat."

"Today was not the day to do this. If you want to do it – if your uncle’s son has asked you to get Kohli’s shirt – then do it after the game in the dressing room." Akram added.

Batting first, Pakistan were bundled out for just 191 runs in 42.5 overs. Babar Azam was the top scorer with 50 off 58 balls. In reply, Rohit Sharma started with positive intent and smashed a quick half-century at the top. He made 86 off 63. India have improved a lot and are at the top of the table, while Pakistan are now in fourth place with four points and their NRR has gone into minus.
