Pakistan didn’t have a great bowling performance. It started with Sri Lanka winning the toss and battingfirst. Kusal Mendis carried on his form and smashed a 65-ball ton. He made 122 off 77 balls, with 14fours and six sixes. Sadeera Samarawickrama also struck a century. He made 108 off 89 balls, with 11fours and two sixes. Sri Lanka posted a massive total.

The chase didn’t start well for Pakistan. They lost opener Imam-ul-Haq for 12 runs, and skipper BabarAzam also couldn’t play a long innings and scored only 10 runs. But Abdullah Shafique and MohammadRizwan added 176 runs for the third wicket to take the team over the 200-run mark. That partnershipbecame the prime reason for Pakistan’s chase. After the win, there was a heartwarming gesture fromPakistan’s skipper, Babar Azam, as he gifted his jersey to the Hyderabad ground staff.
