Watch: Daryl Mitchell takes a relay catch at boundary rope to dismiss David Miller in Pune

David Miller played a brilliant cameo of 53 runs off 30 balls against New Zeland.

South Africans had a wonderful day in batting at MCA Stadium in Pune. They have outclassed New Zealand bowlers and put up 357 runs on the board to give the Kiwis a tough task to chase. New Zealand will require 358 runs to win the game and secure themselves from being knocked out of the tournament. South African wicket-keeper Quinton De Kock (114) and Rassie van der Dussen (132) had a magnificent 200 runs stand and David Miller played a quick fifty knock.

David Miller came in to bat at number 4, right after Quinton De Kock departed after scoring a century. Miller played a crucial 53-run innings in 30 balls with two fours and four towering sixes. Miller played a great role along with Rassie van der Dussen, who was taking Kiwi bowlers to the boundary line across the ground. Miller after his partner's departure, took charge and smashed a few quick boundaries to take South Africa above 350.

New Zealand require 358 runs to win the game in Pune. New Zealand’s third consecutive loss will make the tournament open for Pakistan. Pakistan need to win all of their remaining games and the Kiwis to lose all their remaining league games to qualify for the semifinal while New Zealand need two more wins to secure their qualification. New Zealand almost chased down 389 runs against Australia at HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala just a few days ago.
