Sir Gary Sobers scored 8032 runs and picked 235 wickets in 93 Tests for West Indies.

India head coach Rahul Dravid gave a star-studded introduction of young opener Shubman Gill as they met with West Indies legend Sir Gary Sobers at the Kensington Oval, where the Rohit Sharma-led side is prepping for the two-Test series in the Caribbean.

Sobers, considered to be the greatest all-rounder who played the game, played 93 Tests and 1 ODI for the West Indies team from 1954-1974 and scored 8032 runs with 26 centuries to his name with a best of 365*. He also picked 235 wickets with a best of 6/73 and took 109 catches as well.

He also captained the West Indies side with great success and his ability to turn the game with both the ball and the bat remains unparalleled even today.

The team was practicing in Barbados before they ran into the great company of the legendary Sobers, 86, accompanied by his wife, reached the Kensington Oval. the meet-up took place just next to the Garfield Sobers Pavilion as Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and other members of the team experienced a once-in-a-lifetime experience of meeting the West Indies legend.

BCCI shared the clip of the Indian team players meeting the legend himself, but the highlight was how Dravid introduced Gill to Sobers.

Shubman Gill's opportunity to meet Sobers up close and personal was made even more memorable. As Gill got ready, he got a rousing introduction from coach Dravid. "Shubman Gill, one of our most young exciting batsmen," he said, which was followed by a pleasant 'Ohh' from Sobers himself.

Before him, India captain Rohit Sharma shook hands with the legend and said 'Thank you, sir' to Sobers. Rahul Dravid then introduced vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane and then it was the turn of Virat Kohli to meet Sobers.

Later ace all-rounder Ravi Ashwin met Sir Gary Sobers who was heard saying "Hello sir, how are you?".
