MS Dhoni needs no introduction to cricket. He is arguably one of the biggest superstars to play the game. In fact, he probably has the biggest and most devoted fanbase among other cricketers. Apart from his achievements and success on the field, his nature, and the way he meets his fans, makes him loved all over the nation.
This will not be a wrong statement to say that fans in India love cricketers a lot, and some of these players are looked upon as the gods of cricket. MS Dhoni is also in that category, and he is loved by fans not just in India but also from other countries. Despite retiring from the game in 2019, there has been no dip in his popularity among the fans.

The love MS Dhoni gets is unimaginable. That is why, wherever he goes, fans gather in large numbers to see him. A video is circulating on various social media platforms where a female fan is seen meeting the former Indian captain and getting emotional upon seeing the CSK skipper. The fan got very emotional and met Dhoni with teary eyes. She also touched Dhoni’s feet, who asked her to shake hands instead.

The former Indian captain announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020. But since then, he has been playing in the Indian Premier League and has looked better with every season going by. He recently led CSK to their record fifth title in 2023, beating the Gujarat Titans in the final.
There were rumors that Dhoni might retire from the league after the IPL 2023, which saw fans gather in large numbers wherever he was playing. But after the conclusion of the league, MS Dhoni himself confirmed that he will be back for the next season and will be playing in the IPL. Meanwhile, he was suffering from a knee injury and underwent successful surgery during this period.
