India A and Bangladesh A players, Harshit Rana and Soumya Sarkar were involved in a heated exchange.

The Emerging Asia Cup 2023 has come to its business end, and four teams qualified for the semi-finals. India A and Pakistan A made it from their groups, while Sri Lanka A and Bangladesh A made it from the other groups. Pakistan won the first semi-final, while India registered an incredible win over Bangladesh in the second semi-final to setup a meet against Pakistan A in the summit clash on Sunday.

The second semi-final saw Bangladesh win the toss and put India to bat first. Team India didn't have a great batting performance and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Only skipper Yash Dhull tried hard and scored 66 off 85 balls. He was the lone savior for the Men in Blue. India ended the innings with 211 runs in 49.1 overs. It looked like the end of the tournament for the Indians. But what happened next was an incredible turnaround.

Chasing the target, Bangladesh got off to a flying start. They had an opening stand of 70 runs in just 12.4 overs between Mohammad Naim (38 off 40) and Tanzid Hasan (51 off 56). But that was the only partnership they had. Nishant Sandy and Manav Suthar pulled India back into the game. Sindhu picked up 5/20, while Suthar took 3/32.

However, during the game, there was an ugly moment between India's Harshit Rana and Bangladesh's Soumya Sarkar. It happened on the second ball of the 26th of the innings, when Sarkar was caught by Yuvrajsinh Dodiya on the bowling of Nikin Jose. During the wicket celebration, Harshit gave the batter a fiery send-off, and Sarkar also lost his cool. Both players were seen exchanging words with each other.

Bangladesh were bowled out for just 160 runs in 34.2 overs and lost the game by 51 runs. Dhull was named Man of the Match for his performance. With this win, India have qualified for the final of the Emerging Asia Cup 2023. They will face Pakistan A in the final on Sunday, July 23 at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
